Cobourg Police – Male Arrested Weapons Dangerous

At 3:20 pm on the 14th of March 2019, Officers from the Cobourg Police Service responded to a call at Elgin St.W. stating there was an assault in progress with a knife involved . Upon arrival police ascertained the identity of the assailant and arrested him a short distance away.

Nicholas Burr 29 years old of Cobourg Ontario is charged with the following offences:

Assault with a Weapon Contrary to sec. 267(a) C.C.C.

Possession of a Weapon for a Dangerous Purpose contrary to sec.88.1 C.C.C.

The accused was booked into custody and later released on a Promise to Appear in court as well as an Officer in charge undertaking.
