March 12 is the deadline to nominate a cancer-care hero from the frontlines for the 13th annual Cancer Care Ontario Human Touch Award.
An individual or team who exemplifies the very best in providing compassionate person-centred care deserves to be recognized, Northumberland Hills Hospital board heard at its March meeting in the senior-management report,
“All part-time and full-time health-care professionals, providers and volunteers who provide care in a regional cancer or renal program are eligible to be nominated,” said the report from president and chief executive officer Linda Davis.
Award recipients will be honoured at a June 13 Human Touch Awards ceremony hosted by Cancer Care Ontario. Davis added that award winners from NHH will also be recognized by the Central East Regional Cancer Program.
More information, including how to make a nomination, can be found at the Cancer Care Ontario website.
