Breaking News – Two People Taken Into Custody In Cobourg

Police activity in the area of James and John Street today shortly after 12 pm. One person tells Today’s Northumberland they saw two males taken away in handcuffs by Cobourg Police. They believe there were approximately six plain clothes officers. A vehicle was later towed from the parking lot.
Officers were viewed giving “high-fives” to each other after the arrest.
Port Hope Police May also be involved in the investigation.  It’s unknown if the arrests are related to drug activity.  Today’s Northumberland has sent an e-mail to Cobourg Police asking for information. Will update with more information when it becomes available.
