The pucks drop on Tuesday, February 26, during the fourth annual RBC Capital Markets presents Bubble Hockey Night for SickKids in collaboration with StateView Homes. This table hockey tournament will bring 96 teams of two together, plus enthusiastic spectators, at Evergreen Brick Works in Toronto. Each team will compete in a minimum of five games on classic dome hockey tables in a fast-paced tournament in pursuit of the Grace Bowen Cup. Attendees will mix, mingle, shoot and score up close and personal with athletic all-stars including Toronto Maple Leafs alumni Daryl Sittler, Gary Leeman and Carlo Colaiacovo. Funds raised go to SickKids Foundation to support the SickKids VS Limits campaign to build a renewed, reimagined SickKids.
Joe Bowen, Canadian Sportscaster, also known as the ‘voice of the Toronto Maple Leafs’ will emcee the evening. “Bubble Hockey Night for SickKids is a fun way to give back to the hospital and support all of the great things that SickKids does for our communities. I truly believe in the importance of the community and philanthropy in making that possible, and I am honoured to show my support at this exciting, hockey-themed event.”
“We are grateful to our Co-Presenting sponsors, RBC Capital Markets and StateView Homes, for their continued support to this event, which helps SickKids take on the greatest challenges in child health, and win,” says Ted Garrard, Chief Executive Officer, SickKids Foundation. “Thanks to incredible community and sponsor support, funds raised at this event will go towards our ambitions SickKids VS Limits campaign and allow us to build a new SickKids with cutting-edge operating suites, more room for families and more room for the innovative technologies that will deliver better outcomes for children in Canada and around the world.”
Additional sponsors include: Freedom International Brokerage Company, Osisko Mining, Sionna Investment Managers, TMX, Shorcan Brokers Limited, Crestpoint, Crown Realty Partners, EllisDon, Molson Canadian, National Bank Financial Markets, Uberflip, and Toronto Life.
While the bubble hockey teams are almost sold out, you can still register to play by emailing skbubblehockey@sickkidsfoundation.com. Spectator tickets are also available and include an opportunity to rub shoulders with superstars while being treated like one themselves, with drinks from the open bar and gourmet food.
