Northumberland OPP – Driver Blows Almost Four Times the Legal Limit

On Thursday February 14, 2019 just before 12:30 pm members of the Northumberland Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a traffic complaint involving a black sedan that was reportedly unable to drive in a marked lane, almost causing a collision then drove into a snowbank on Dale Road in the Municipality of Port Hope.
Responding officers found the female driver to be under the influence of alcohol. As a result of the investigation Christina Leigh NIGHTINGALE (age 30) from Prescott, Ontario was arrested and charged under the Criminal Code of Canada with:
Operation while impaired – alcohol and drugs
Operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)
The accused was released and is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Cobourg on March 13, 2019.
