Northumberland OPP – Domestic Investigation Results in Charges

On Sunday February 17, 2019 officers from the Northumberland Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) entered into a domestic dispute investigation.
On February 18, 2019 a 29-year-old man from Toronto, Ontario was arrested and charged with the following offences:
Uttering Threats – Cause death or bodily harm (six counts)
Cruelty to animals – unnecessary pain, suffering or injury
Assault -(five counts)
Assault with a Weapon
The accused was held in custody for a bail court hearing on February 18, 2019.
The name of the accused is being withheld to protect the identity of the victim.
