A Northumberland County Paramedic crew were uninjured after their unit was involved in a collision on Sunday, January 27, 2019. At approximately 12:44 p.m. Alnwick/Haldimand Township Fire Department responded to the collision on Coyle Road north of Roseneath. A ambulance was responding to a call and while traveling on Coyle Road the ambulance got sucked into the ditch (which was covered with snow) when a vehicle traveling in the opposite direction approached. The ambulance struck numerous trees causing heavy damage to the vehicle. Firefighters cut down several branches allowing a tow truck to remove the ambulance from the ditch.
