Breaking News – One Person Airlifted Following Head-On Collision In Alnwick/Haldimand Township

A woman was airlifted to a Toronto trauma centre following a head-on collision in Alnwick/Haldimand Township on Saturday, January 26, 2019.
At approximately 5:45 p.m., emergency services were called to County Road 45, just north of Roseneath Landing Road.
Two vehicles collided head-on and both drivers were trapped.
Alnwick/Haldimand firefighters used extrication equipment to remove the driver’s who were the only ones in the vehicles.
A woman was rushed to Northumberland Hills Hospital where she was later airlifted to a Toronto trauma centre.
It’s believed the driver of the other vehicle was not critically injured.
County Road 45 remains closed while members of the OPP Technical Traffic Collision Investigators examined the scene.
It’s unknown if weather conditions played a factor in the collision.
