Northumberland OPP – New Detachment Commander Named

Chief Superintendent Rose DiMarco, Regional C ommander of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Central Region is pleased to announce, that effective February 11, 2019, Inspector Brian O’Halloran will become the new Detachment Commander of the Northumberland OPP.
Inspector O’Halloran started his policing career in 1990 with the Metro Toronto Police Service and transferred to the Ontario Provincial Police in February 1997. He has worked in numerous areas of policing including General patrol, Major Crimes Unit, Detective Office, Warrants, and the Technical Installation Unit before becoming the Deputy Director of the Investigation and Enforcement Bureau of the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario. Inspector O’Halloran has lived in and has been part of the Northumberland County community for over 30 years. He’s coached hockey, soccer and is currently helping out with the Port Hope Air Cadets.
Central Region OPP would like to thank members of the Northumberland County Police Services Boards for their dedication and assistance in selecting Inspector O’Halloran as the new Northumberland OPP Detachment Commander.
