The Northumberland Nighthawks PeeWee AE boys did some fundraising and picked the three places to donate to. One was the seniors at Extendicare in Port Hope, the team spent $100 on gifts for them. After contacting Extendicare, members of the team not only visited the seniors, but played Bingo with them and after enjoyed Lindors chocolate and cookies with them.
Kim Robinson who is one of tne of the parents on the team said, “we are trying to help the boys learn to give back to the community and many of our boys hadn’t spent any time with seniors so this was a amazing opportunity to get to know them and have some fun.”
