Police Canvasing Area After Stabbing On Weekend

Two Special Constables with the Cobourg Police Service were canvasing neighbouring homes in the area of a stabbing that took place over the weekend.

On Friday, August 31, 2018 at approximately 1:30 a.m., 45-year-old Kevin Bandy was stabbed numerous times.  Updated reports to Today’s Northumberland indicate Bandy may have been stabbed up to 17 times.

Bandy who is from the Roseneath area was airlifted to a trauma centre in Toronto where he was listed in critical condition, but has since been upgraded to stable condition.

Three person’s of interest were initially taken into custody but have been released with no conditions.

Today’s Northumberland has been banned from receiving press releases from the Cobourg Police Service, but will endeavor to keep the public informed.
