Unlawfully in a Dwelling House

A 40-year-old Peterborough man is facing charges after causing damage to a residence where he was not invited.

On August 26, 2018 the Peterborough Police Service commenced an investigation and learned that the accused entered a residence without the consent of the tenant and while present damaged property within.

A further investigation revealed that the accused was bound by a Probation Order as a result of a previous conviction with a condition to keep the peace and be of good behaviour

The accused, Vincent Stephens was arrested on scene and later released on a Promise to Appear with a court date of September 13, 2018.

 

Domestic Assault Arrest

A 31-year-old resident of Kawartha Lakes is facing assault charges stemming from a domestic incident in the City of Peterborough.

On August 25, 2018, the accused and his partner engaged in a verbal dispute over the care of their children. The verbal dispute escalated to the accused pushing and slapping his partner.

The Peterborough Police Service was subsequently contacted and located the accused on scene and he was arrested for Assault. He was released from custody and will appear in court on September 13, 2018.

In order to protect the identity of the victim in this domestic incident the name of the accused will not be released.

  

Drive Over 80mg Arrest

A 26-year-old Scarborough resident is facing charges stemming from a vehicle stop in the City of Peterborough.

On August 28, 2018, an officer on patrol conducted a vehicle stop and discovered that the driver of the vehicle had consumed alcohol. A roadside screening device was administered which resulted in a fail.

The accused was transported to the Peterborough Police Service where a breath test was administered and resulted in a reading of over 80 mgs of alcohol in 100 millilitres of blood.

Kristopher Georghiou was subsequently charged with Drive Over 80mgs and was released with a court date of September 13, 2018.

 

Breach of Court Order Arrest

A 52-year-old Peterborough woman is facing charges after being found in contravention of a court imposed order.

On August 28, 2018, the Peterborough Police Service responded to an Aylmer Street address after receiving several complaints of an unwanted female in the residence.

Police attended and located the accused and discovered that she was bound by a Recognizance of Bail with a condition to remain away from that specific address.

As a result of the investigation, Georgina Grant of Peterborough was arrested and charged with Breach of Recognizance and held in custody for court on August 29, 2018.
