No One Injured After A Large Branch Falls In Victoria Park Minutes After Cobourg Concert Band Wraps Up Season

In Editor Choice, Local, News

Minutes after the Concert Band of Cobourg performed their final performance of the season a large branch fell from a tree in Victoria Park.
The Concert Band of Cobourg was performing with the Cobourg Legion Pipes and Drums at the bandshell that ended at approximately 9:30 p.m.
While members of the Concert Band of Cobourg were packing up their equipment a loud “crack” was heard and the branch came down to the east of the bandshell.
Luckily no one was in the area at the time, but by the size and weight of the branch it easily could have killed someone.
The temperature was 24 degree Celcius and there was no wind at all at the time the branch fell.
