Major Crash North of Roseneath On County Road 45

(NORTHUMBERLAND, ON) – The Northumberland Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded this afternoon at approximately 12:15 pm to a serious collision between a tractor trailer and passenger vehicle. The collision occurred on County Road 45 south west of Hastings, Ontario near Roseneath, Ontario in Alnwick-Haldimand Township.
The driver of the passenger vehicle , a 62 year old male from Trent Hills Ontario, was transported from the scene by ambulance to a nearby hospital then air lifted to a Kingston area trauma centre with unknown injuries.
The OPP Technical Traffic Collision Investigation (TTCI) Unit is assisting with this ongoing investigation. It is unknown at this time how long County Road 45 between Coyle Road and Baxter Road will be closed.
