Renovate Northumberland Re-Opens Expression of Interest Period

Cobourg, ON – July 19, 2018 – Habitat for Humanity Northumberland is pleased to announce that they have re-opened the application process for the Renovate Northumberland program. Expressions of interest will be accepted until August 6, 2018.

The Renovate Northumberland program is a partnership program between Habitat Northumberland and Northumberland County. The program enables eligible homeowners to access interest-free, forgivable loans up to a maximum of $10,000 to complete urgent home repairs, as well as grants up to a maximum of $5,000 to reduce physical barriers in order to make a residence more accessible. In 2017 Renovate Northumberland provided financial support for home renovations to 19 homeowners, 14 of whom were seniors in Northumberland County. Among some of the completed projects were 8 roof repair/replacements, 5 furnace repair/replacements and 4 accessibility projects.
