Things only got better as the night went on at Peterborough MusicFest in Del Crary Park on Saturday, July 14, 2018 as Howard Jones hit the stage.
The 63-year-old singer broke out in the 80’s with 15 top 40 singles between 1983 and 1992.
New Song, What Is Love, Like To Get To Know You Well, Life In One Day, Things Can Only Get Better and many more had the crowd on their feet from the beginning of the evening.
It was 33-years and one day after Jones took to the stage at the Live Aid concert. An estimated 1.9 billion people tuned in to Live Aid with the goal of the concert to raise funds for Ethiopian famine.
Saturday night in Peterborough was a trip back to the 80’s with Jones singing and dancing around the stage like a person less than half his age.
Playing keyboards or on his keytar, Jones and his synth music captivated the crowd with every song.
With the sing-a-long getting louder as the evening progressed, people were drawn to the front of the stage to dance at the outdoor venue.
More than once, Jones came down from the stage and sang to people dancing giving them a thrill while he posed for photos.
