Child Struck By Vehicle In Cobourg

A three-year-old child was struck by a vehicle in the parking lot of of a day care on Queen Street in Cobourg on Sunday, July 15, 2018 at approximately 4:10 p.m.
It’s believed the child was struck as a number of people were preparing to leave from a day at the beach.  The day care was closed at the time of the incident.
The child may have been partially run over by the vehicle. Family members were caring for the child prior to emergency services arriving and the father carried the child who was crying to an ambulance that arrived.
The child is believed to have minor injuries following the incident.
