Male Faces Several Charges of Harassing Communications Investigators Seeking Other Victims – OPP

(PETERBOROUGH COUNTY, ON) – The Peterborough County Crime Unit entered into an investigation after police received numerous complaints from female real estate agents of inappropriate and unwanted text messages and phone calls over the past three months. On May 2, 2018 detectives attended a Toronto area address and arrested a male resident.

Mario Nelson DINIZ age 54 of Toronto, Ontario is charged with seven counts of Harassing Communications and Fail to Comply with Probation Order. He was held for a bail hearing scheduled for May 3, 2018.

Investigators are asking for the public’s assistance and request that anyone who has received unwanted harassing messages from a number beginning with 647-284-XXXX to contact the Peterborough County OPP Detachment at 705-742-0401or toll free: 1-888-310-1122.
