(CITY OF KAWARTHA LAKES, ON) –  Last night, May 1, 2018, at approximately 10:15pm, members of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Kawartha Lakes/Haliburton Community Street Crime Unit executed a drug search warrant at a Lindsay area hotel.

As a result of an on-going investigation initiated in the Fenelon Falls area located and seized at the Lindsay location was a quantity of cash and suspected purple heroin.

Arrested and charged with the following offences are:

  •  Bradley HICKS, 34 years of age of Cameron
  • Possess of a Schedule I Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking – Heroin contrary to section 5(2) of the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act (CDSA)
  • Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Under $5000 contrary to section 354(1)(a) Criminal Code of Canada (CCC)
  • Amy POWER, 35 years of age of Little Britain
  • Possess of a Schedule I Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking – Heroin contrary to section 5(2) CDSA
  • Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Under $5000 contrary to section 354(1)(a) CCC
  • Fail to Comply with Recognizance contrary to section 145(3) CCC
  • Scott NICHOLSON, 34 years of age of Fenelon Falls
  • Possess of a Schedule I Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking – Heroin contrary to section 5(2) CDSA
  • Possession of Property Obtain ed by Crime Under $5000 contrary to section 354(1)(a) CCC
  • Fail to Comply with Recognizance contrary to section 145(3) CCC

The accused persons have all been held in custody pending a bail hearing at the Ontario Court of Justice.
