Theft And Arson Investigation – Seeking Information From The Public Northumberland OPP

(PORT HOPE, ON) –On April 6, 2018 the Northumberland Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) entered into an investigation when a property owner on Ganaraska Rd (near Grist Mill Rd) in the Municipality of Port Hope reported the theft of two chainsaws and a white Yamaha golf cart within the past week. A 38 foot 5th-wheel trailer was also set ablaze and destroyed by the fire.

Northumberland OPP is asking for the public’s assistance with this ongoing investigation and would ask that anyone with information on this crime call the Cobourg OPP detachment at 905-372-5421 or toll free 1-888-310-1122.

Should you wish to remain anonymous, you may call the Peterborough/Northumberland Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 (TIPS) where you may be eligible for a cash reward of up to $2,000 and not have to appear in court.
