Two Speeds Signs Have Been Erected in Port Hope

In News, Police Blotter

As part of a safety initiative launched by the Port Hope Police Service two speeds signs have been erected in the Municipality (one on Toront Road near a school, the other on Jocelyn Street). The speed sign shows the speed, in kilometres, the vehicle driver is travelling and will alert the driver to slow down if going too fast. The Port Hope Police Services Board approved the funding for the signs out of screening revenue. The signs are currently in two strategic locations in Urban Port Hope. There are portability capabilities if there deems a need to move them elsewhere. The Port Hope Police Service wish to thank members of the Port Hope Public Works Dept. who undertook the installation and programming of the signs.

In conjunction with enforcement and education, the Port Hope Police Service is committed to traffic and Highway Safety within this Municipality.
