Cobourg Police Investigated by Ministry of Labour After Complaint

The Ministry of Labour is continuing their investigation after a harassment complaint was launched against the Cobourg Police Service.
MOL spokesperson Janet Deline stated to Today’s Northumberland that on October 20, 2017 the Ministry of Labour attended the Cobourg Police Service after receiving a complaint.
After an investigation five orders were issued to the Cobourg Police Service including
· to develop a workplace harassement program (complied with)
· posting of the workplace harassment and violence policy (complied with)
· training (complied with); and
· to conduct an internal investigation (in progress).
Deline said the MOL investigation is ongoing.
