Minor Injuries Following Three Vehicle Collision in Alnwick/Haldimand Township

One woman had to be extricated from her vehicle following a three vehicle collision in Alnwick/Haldimand Township on Sunday, October 4, 2020.

Emergency services were dispatched at approximately 1:40 p.m. to County Road 45 at County Road 29 for a three vehicle collision with one person trapped.

When emergency services arrived all occupants were out of their vehicle except for one woman in a BMW SUV that was on its side.

Witnesses told Today’s Northumberland that a SUV was travelling southbound on County Road 45 with three children, when a vehicle heading westbound on County Road 29 proceeded through the intersection.

The SUV travelling southbound t-boned the BMW SUV and it rolled into the path of the third vehicle that was proceeding east, but was stopped at the intersection.

The woman in the BMW was extricated by members of the Alnwick/Haldimand Township Fire Department. She was treated at the scene and released by paramedics.

Some of the other occupants of the other vehicles including three children, and three other adults and a dog received minor injuries.

No word on charges.
