Quinte West OPP Investigating Shooting That Sent One Person to Hospital

The Quinte West Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) is investigating a shooting that sent one person to hospital.

On October 16, 2023, at approximately 3:00 a.m., Quinte West OPP responded to a residence on Applewood Court, Trenton for a complaint of a shooting. Suspect(s) fled the scene prior to police arrival in a white Dodge Challenger. One person sustained a wound to their hand and was transported to hospital for treatment.

The investigation is being conducted by the Quinte West OPP Crime Unit and OPP Forensic Identification Services (FIS).

If you have video surveillance/vehicle dash cam footage showing the area around Applewood Court, Tripp Boulevard and Dundas Street West, from Monday October 16 at 1:00 a.m. to 3:30 a.m. that may have recorded the vehicle or suspicious activity, please contact the Ontario Provincial Police at 1-888-310-1122.
