Quinte West OPP – Person Charged In A Sex Assault (Name Released)

The Quinte West Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) has charged an individual with sex assault on a child.

On July 16, 2023, Quinte West OPP, including members of the Quinte West Crime Unit commenced a historical, sexual assault investigation. On August 9, 2023 an arrest was made.

Brian WARD, 44 years old from Trenton, has been charged with the following offences:

  • Sexual interference (person under 16 years of age)
  • Invitation to sexual touching und er 16 years of age
  • Sexual assault on a person under 16 years of age

The accused was held in custody pending a bail hearing at the Ontario Court of Justice in Belleville.
