Wine & Ale Celebrates Most Successful Year to Date

In Community

Organizers of Northumberland Hills Hospital (NHH) Foundation’s annual Wine & Ale in the Park fundraiser are pleased to announce this year marked the most successful to date. On the evening of June 28, 2023, supporters gathered in Victoria Park in Cobourg to raise an incredible $34,200.

“We are grateful to all those who came together to make this a record-breaking year,” shares Rhonda Cunningham, NHH Foundation CEO. “From our guests, to our many volunteers, food
and beverage vendors, the Lions Club of Cobourg, and our generous sponsors – including of course our presenting sponsor, Tony Pulla of RE/MAX Lakeshore Realty Inc. – we cannot thank
our community enough.”

As in previous years, the evening included pairing stations put together to feature local cuisines and a variety of wines and ales from Northumberland area makers.

New this year, Sydney Fairman Group joined as the official Beverage Sponsor. Other local businesses and individuals came on board as Tasting Sponsors, including: Quantrill Chevrolet Buick GMC, Stadtke Plumbing & Heating Ltd., Boris Nikolovsky – BMO Private Wealth, CI Assante Wealth Management, and Brighton Retirement Living.

In addition to providing both the event space and volunteers for the evening, the Lions Club of Cobourg made a generous cheque presentation of $2,500 to the Foundation.

Funds raised will help our hospital continue to care for our growing community by funding the highest priority medical equipment and technology at NHH.
