Durham Regional Police Service – Male Facing Charges After Impersonating as a Police Officer

A 36-year-old male is facing Sexual Assault charges after meeting a woman online and posing as a police officer in Pickering.

 

On Tuesday, March 28, 2023, members of West Division Criminal Investigation Branch became involved in a sexual assault investigation.   The suspect met the victim online and identified himself to her as a police officer and gained her trust.  The victim attended the suspects home where he assaulted and sexually assaulted her.  Through the investigation it was determined that he was in fact not a police officer.  

 

Ahmed MOUSTAFA, age 36, of Toronto is charged with: Assault, Sexual Assault, and Impersonating a Peace Officer x2.

 

The Durham Regional Police are seeking the public’s assistance to locate any other potential victims or persons with information that could lead to identify other potential victims, who may have been contacted by the accused.
