Peterborough County OPP – Driver Facing Drug Trafficking Charges (Name Released)

Members of the Peterborough County Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to reports of a suspicious vehicle that was located in the parking lot of a Bridgenorth business on Ward Street at approximately 8:30am yesterday morning. Officers determined that the driver was under the influence of illicit drugs. Officers located cocaine, methamphetamine, and fentanyl during a search of the vehicle.

Lillian WILLIAMS (age 28) of Peterborough, was arrested and charged with:

• Operation while impaired-alcohol and drugs

• Possession of a Schedule 1 substance for the purpose of trafficking-methamphetamine

• Possession of a Schedule 1 substance for the purpose of trafficking-opioid

• Possession of a Schedule 1 substance for the purpose of trafficking-cocaine

The accused is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Peterborough on March 16, 2023.

The Peterborough County OPP reminds motorists to plan ahead when consuming drugs. Use a designated driver, cab, public transit, or stay overnight. Any amount of alcohol or drugs can impact your ability to make sound judgements.
