Cobourg Police – Cobourg Man Charged with Assault and 2x Fail to Comply (No Name Released)

On September 10, 2022, police were called to the area of Anne Street and College Street for the report of an injured person. Police attended and located a female with minor physical injuries. The person of interest fled the area before police arrived.

As a result of the police investigation, on Monday, September 12, 2022, a 28-year-old Cobourg man was arrested and charged with the following offences:

1. Assault (spousal) contrary to Section 266 of the Criminal Code of Canada

2. Two counts of Fail to comply with probation order contrary to Section 733.1(1) of the Criminal Code of Canada

The man was remanded into custody with a future court date.
