Cobourg Police – Bi-Weekly Updates Regarding Break and Enters, Thefts from Motor Vehicles and Mischief

As a result of ongoing dialogue between Cobourg Police and Today’s Northumberland, Cobourg Police are providing bi-weekly updates on incidents that have occurred.

Today’s Northumberland would like to publicly thank Cobourg Police and specifically Chief Paul VandeGraaf for the open dialogue.

 

COBOURG (August 8th, 2022) – The Cobourg Police Service (CPS) bi-weekly update provides an overview of break and enters, theft from motor vehicles and mischief in the Town of Cobourg over two weeks.
In addition to the bi-weekly update, an operational report is provided to the Cobourg Police Services Board every month. The operational report offers a breakdown of calls for service, year to year comparable on crime trends, and highlights calls of interest. CPS operational reports can be found in the CPSB meeting minutes online through eScribe, the Town of Cobourg public meeting website.
Community members can access information about police activity in Cobourg through the crime mapping tool available at cobourgpoliceservice.com.

July 25th, 2022, to August 7th, 2022

CPS responded to 496 calls for Service.

Break and enter:
· 3 break and enters, in the areas of: Elgin St W (attempt only), James St E (arrests made at scene) and Chapel St.

Theft from motor vehicles:
· None reported for this time frame

Mischief:
· 3 Mischiefs, Park St and Division St area, Alexandria D. and Monk St.
