Community Care Northumberland’s Annual Hike, Bike and Bark is Back

In Upcoming Events

Community Care Northumberland’s Annual Hike, Bike and Bark is back from August 27th to September 10th, 2022. This event is an opportunity to raise funds and awareness for the organization’s hospice services program, based out of Ed’s House Northumberland Hospice Care Centre, which supports those with a life -threatening illness, their caregivers and loved ones.

For this year’s event, participants are encouraged to register as an individual ($25.00), family ($50.00) or team ($100.00), collect pledges, and hike, bike, walk their dog, or complete any other activity and distance of their choosing how, when and where they want. Hike, Bike and Bark for Hospice will be a hybrid event allowing participants to pick up their participation kit – which includes a t-shirt, a cookie from Roda’s Kitchen, an optional dog bandana and plus if you are walking with your furry friend a wonderful bag of goodies from All Creatures Great and Small provided by Lynn Hardy – at Ed’s House from 9:00 to 11:00 a.m. on August 27th, then from August 27th until September 10th complete their walk, hike or bike where and when they choose and can choose the route and distance. Then return to Ed’s House from 9:00 to 11:00 a.m. on September 10th for a celebratory pancake breakfast, children’s activities, to drop off pledges
and even have a tour of Ed’s House.

“We thank our signature sponsors Tina Hubicki and Lee Caswell of Bosley Real Estate Ltd. and our other community sponsors for their generous support,” says Nancy Oliver, Chair of the Special Events Committee, and member of the Ed’s House Foundation Board. We hope the community will come out and join us in support of hospice services that aid not only individuals and their families throughout community but also the residents and families that access care at Ed’s House.”

“Giving back to our community is always top of mind for us so when asked if we would once again be a part of this very necessary cause, there was never a doubt we wouldn’t say yes,” said signature sponsors Lee Caswell and Tina Hubicki of Bosley Real Estate Ltd., Brokerage. “We are so honoured to support all of the amazing work that takes place at Ed’s House Northumberland Hospice Care Centre.”
