Breaking News – Northumberland OPP Investigating Possible Weapon Fired at Parked Vehicle in Colborne

Northumberland OPP are investigating what is believed to be a possible shotgun round was fired into a parked vehicle on Percy Street in Colborne on Tuesday, April 26, 2022.

At approximately 10 p.m. residents of the area told Today’s Northumberland they heard a loud bang at approximately 10 p.m. approximately three blocks north of downtown.

A short time later holes were discovered on the driver’s side front windshield of a parked vehicle.

It’s believed possible one shell from a shotgun was fired at close range into the vehicle.

No one was injured.

Police canvassed the area going door to door and Percy Street was closed until the investigation was completed.

If anyone has any information they are asked to call Northumberland OPP or Crimestoppers.
