Schedule Set for Port Hope Panthers Series Against Amherstview

The Port Hope Panthers are set to continue the Provincial Junior Hockey League playoffs against the Amherstview Jets.
Game 1 of the best-of-seven series is scheduled for Wednesday at 7:30 p.m. in Amherstview. The Panthers will host Game 2 on Friday evening, 8 p.m., at the Jack Burger Sports Complex in Port Hope. See full schedule below.
Amherstview finished atop the PJHL’s Tod Division standings with a 24-4-1-1 record and had a first-round playoff bye as did the second-place Napanee Raiders (22-4-0-4).
Port Hope, which had finished fourth at 14-11-3-2, eliminated the Campbellford Rebels in five games in the opening round of playoffs. The Picton Pirates, third at 16-12-0-2, knocked out the expansion Frankford Huskies in five games and will now face Napanee in the other Tod Division semifinal series.
During the 30-game regular season, the Jets won five out of six meetings with the Panthers. Amherstview’s last game prior to their bye was March 6.
