Obituary – Ronald James Knight 1/22/52- 9/18/21

In In Memoriam

On Saturday 9/18/21, Ron left us for a glorious reunion in heaven with his daughter Michelle, his parents Jim and Jean Knight, his sister Wendy (Williams) and several dear friends that have gone too soon.

Ron was born and raised in Wicklow and spent his whole life locally.

In 1973 he married his high school sweetheart Dianne (Whaley).

Together they raised their 2 daughters, Melissa and Michelle.

Apples weren’t just his job, they were his passion.

Farming was in his blood and he gave it his all for many years.

Ron was known as Mr. Fix it- he could literally fix anything.

He was the very definition of hard work, thankfully he was able to balance that with some fun.

He and Dianne liked to travel and were blessed to see much of the world, but his heart was always at home.

Ron took great pride in his family.

His granddaughters, Elle and Evie will miss their Pops.

If you know someone plagued with dementia, offer to assist.

Even the smallest acts of kindness have been appreciated.

In lieu of flowers, please consider donating to The Alzheimer Society of Canada or locally to The Adult Day Program.

Dianne and Melissa will be celebrating Ron and welcoming those who also loved him at their family home for an outdoor gathering on Friday 9/24/21 from 4-7pm.

A private graveside service will honour Ron’s life at a later date.
