Northumberland OPP Advise On-Ramps Are Used For Merging ON To Highway 401

In Editor Choice, Local, Police Blotter

Heavy traffic on the highway is no excuse for backing up an on-ramp. A number of people backed up the on-ramp on Sunday, August 29, 2021 around the supper hour after it appears they didn’t see the heavy traffic heading westbound on Highway 401 at Grafton.

Northumberland OPP advise backing up on a on-ramp could lead to a collision and is dangerous for yourself and other motorists.

On top of that it carries a $110.00 ticket under the Highway Traffic Act and two demerit points.
