Cobourg Police Seek Public Assistance

Investigators with the Cobourg Police Service request the public’s assistance learning about an incident that
took place early this morning.
Cobourg Police will be canvassing downtown Cobourg after receiving a report of a man covered in blood.
Just before 5:00 am on Wednesday, August 11, 2021, police received a report of an individual covered in blood near Division Street and Munroe Street


Upon arrival, police located a man, bleeding from the left side of his face. Police called an ambulance, and the
man was brought to the hospital to receive treatment. Police investigation revealed that the male had been
struck by an unknown object.


This is believed to be an isolated event, and there is no concern for public safety at this time.


Members of the Cobourg Police Service will be canvassing the area. Residents who live in the area or were
present around the time of the incident are asked to check their security cameras or dash cameras in the
event that the incident was captured on video.
