Cobourg Police – Man Arrested on Warrant

Police arrest a Cobourg man on outstanding warrants.

On the evening of Saturday, June 19, 2021, a uniform member of the Cobourg Police Service on general patrol
in the downtown area observed a man known to be wanted on outstanding warrants.

As a result of police investigation, 19-year-old Kyle MATHESON of Cobourg was arrested on the strength of a
Surety Warrant and Bench warrant for the following offences:

1) Assault contrary to section 266 of the Criminal Code of Canada x 2

2) Mischief Under $5000 section 430(4) of the Criminal Code of Canada

MATHESON was held pending a bail hearing later that day, on June 20, 2021.
