Cobourg Police – Woman Arrested for Assault

A woman was arrested after a physical altercation outside a local business.


On the afternoon of May 16, 2021, police responded to an assault in progress in the parking lot of a local
business. The victim of the assault received minor injuries.

As a result of the police investigation, 51-year-old Lorraine West of Cobourg is charged with the following
offence:

Assault contrary to Section 266 of the Criminal Code.

Assault cause bodily harm – choking, contrary to Section 267(c) of the Criminal Code
The accused was released from custody on an Undertaking with a future court date.
