Port Hope Police – Woman Charged With Impaired Driving After Collision with School Bus

A Port Hope woman is facing a charged of impaired by drug after her vehicle collided with a school bus on Friday, March 26, 2021.

At approximately 3 p.m. a vehicle traveling eastbound on Molson Street went into oncoming lanes and collided with a westbound school bus carrying approximately 20 high school students.

It appears the driver of the bus attempted to avoid the collision but was sideswiped by the vehicle.

The female driver of the vehicle was taken into custody at the scene.

Molson Street by Alfred Street in Port Hope was shut down for approximately one hour for the investigation.

None of the approximately 20 high school students or either driver were injured.

A dog from the car was taken by animal services.
