Cobourg’s First Cannabis Store Opens in Downtown

In Business, Local

The opening of Cobourg’s first cannabis store took place on Friday, March 19, 2021.

The three owners of Mary J’s Cannabis Store said they have been welcomed with open arms since the store first opened last week prior to the grand opening at 38 King Street West in downtown Cobourg.

“Mary J’s goal is to make the buying experience more inclusive and human, as opposed to the stigma that has historically been attached to it,” says co-owner Dashy Singh. “We offer a comfortable atmosphere where you are able to come for conversation or just purchase your product and you are on your way. Our customer’s experience is tailored to their needs.”

MP Philip Lawrence, MPP David Piccini, Cobourg Mayor John Henderson along with a number of councillors were on hand for the grand opening.

Councillor Adam Bureau who was representing the DBIA was happy to support the new store by making a purchase.
