The Port Hope Police Service Criminal Investigations Bureau executed a Controlled Drugs and Substances Act Search Warrant at a Port Hope residence as part of an ongoing investigations and enforcement targeting illegal drug activity affecting our community.
On the 8th of March 2021, as part of an ongoing joint drug enforcement investigation, members of Port Hope Criminal Investigations Bureau, Cobourg Criminal Investigation Bureau and Port Hope Police Uniform Patrol arrested one adult male and two adult females for possession of drugs for the purpose of trafficking.
Police then executed a Controlled Drugs and Substances Act Search Warrant at a Young Street residence in Port Hope.
As a result of the investigation and Search Warrant, Police seized 2.2 Ounces of Cocaine and Crack Cocaine, 2.9 grams of Fentanyl, 11.3 grams of Methamphetamine (Crystal Meth),31 Percocet and $100.00 cash. The estimated street value of the seized drugs is $9955.00.
Patrick Lalonde, 35 years and Ashley Debideen, 34 years of Port Hope are charged with:
· Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking – Cocaine – contrary to section 5(2) of the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act
· Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking – Fentanyl – contrary to section 5(2) of the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act
· Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking – Percocet – contrary to section 5(2) of the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act
· Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking – Methamphetamine – contrary to section 5(2) of the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act
Chantelle Murray, 32 years of Port Hope is charged with:
· Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking – Cocaine – contrary to section 5(2) of the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act
· Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking – Fentanyl – contrary to section 5(2) of the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act
· Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking – Percocet – contrary to section 5(2) of the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act
All three were released on an Undertaking with conditions and are to appear in court in April 2021.
