The annual Delicious Dates promotion for Port Hope restaurants, pubs and cafes is on in a new version – Delicious Dates To Go, offering you a chance to support local businesses while staying safe and cozy at home.

Participating establishments are offering special prix fixe deals for take-out between Jan. 22 and Feb. 7. There is also a delivery option, thanks to a partnership with Northumberland Delivers.

“Amid the current challenges brought on by the global pandemic, this is another great opportunity to support our local restaurants and eateries,” Port Hope Mayor Bob Sanderson said in the announcement.

“Many of our local businesses have done a tremendous job of pivoting their operations to support take-out and curbside options and I hope that, wherever possible, our residents are taking advantage of these opportunities.”

Delicious Dates is typically co-ordinated with businesses throughout the community to bring to everyone’s attention the variety and quality of Port Hope establishments. Each eatery’s menu will include offerings for lunch or dinner in a wide range of price points.

Northumberland Delivers – a local food- and goods-delivery service – is making the delivery option possible for added ease and convenience. Service charges may apply.
