(6) Port Hope Santa Claus Parade on November 28, 2020 – YouTube

It was a great day for a parade on Saturday, November 28, 2020 in Port Hope.

This year the parade, like many things were modified because of COVID-19.

The parade was stationary and people drove by in their vehicles from noon until 2 p.m.

But Port Hope came together and held an amazing parade with 30 parade entries starting at noon on the access road between Baulch Road and Toronto Road.

There was 555 spectator vehicles and what made the event were the non-stop smiles from all the vehicles passing by.

At the start postal carriers were collecting letters for Santa. There was also an area for people to donate money or non-perishable food items.

Members of the Port Hope Fire Department kicked off the parade with a number of their fire apparatus and a long fishing net for anyone who wanted to donate toys.

There were bands, floats, dancers, clowns, tractors and of course, Santa Claus was waiting for everyone at the end of the parade.
