Service Delivery Review Meeting Planned for Cobourg

In City Hall, Upcoming Events

By Cecilia Nasmith/Today’s Northumberland
In addition to the regular 6 p.m. committee-of-the-whole council meeting on Nov. 16, the Town of Cobourg has announced a special 1:30 p.m. committee-of-the-whole meeting to focus on the final presentation by KPMG on its Town of Cobourg Service Delivery Review.

KPMG has presented quarterly updates throughout the process of the review, examining service delivery in comparitor municipalities, explaining the difference among mandated, desirable and traditional kinds of services, and looking at what possibilities exist in terms of cost savings or improved efficiency.

As per the vote at last week’s council session, these meetings – like all meetings through the end of 2020 – will be virtual.

The agenda is now available at www.cobourgb.ca/escribe.

Anyone wishing to submit correspondence can do so by e-mail containing your name, address and comments on the matter. Make your submission to clerk@cobourg.ca by noon on Nov. 16.
Citizens are also invited to contact any council member directly with their input and questions, and to tune in to www.cobourg.ca/escribe to watch the meeting live.

Any questions regarding this protocol can be directed to clerk@cobourg.ca.
