Cobourg Police – Weapons and Drug Arrest

A Cobourg man was arrested for weapon and drug-related offences.

On Saturday, October 17th, at approximately 5:30 pm, police on patrol observed a man in possession of a prohibited weapon in downtown Cobourg.

Upon police investigation, Scotland WHARRAM, a 49-year-old man from the Town of Cobourg, was found in possession of a small quantity of crystal methamphetamine and prohibited weapons.

As a result, WHARRAM was charged with the following offences:

1. Possession of a Prohibited Weapon – Contrary to Section 91(2) of the Criminal Code of Canada x2

2. Possession of a Controlled Substance to with Crystal Methamphetamine – Contrary to Section 4(1) of the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act

The accused was released on an undertaking with a future court date.
