The investigation is continuing following a fire in Hamilton Township earlier this month that yielded thousands of marijuana plants.
On Saturday, September 12, 2020 Hamilton Township Fire Department responded to Clarke McKinlay Road (south of County Road 9/Oak Ridges Drive) south of Gores Landing.
When the flames were doused, a large indoor marijuana grow operation (on two floors) was discovered in two barns approximately 40′ x 200′.
In the following days, it’s estimated that 7,000 marijuana plants were seized from both barns.
Head of the OPP Street Crime Unit, Det. Sgt. Rick Dupuis told Today’s Northumberland Today on Tuesday, September 29, 2020 the, “investigation is ongoing with charges pending.”
