New Corps Officers/Pastors for the Salvation Army Cobourg Community Church

On August 17, 2020, Majors Dan and Wendy Broome arrived in Cobourg to assume responsibilities as the new Corps Officers/Pastors for the Salvation Army Cobourg Community Church which also includes the supervision of the Cobourg & Port Hope Community & Family Services offices on 66 Swayne Street Cobourg and 100 Peter Street Port Hope respectively.

The Broome’s will be replacing Majors Michael and Carolyn Simpson.

The Broome’s come to Cobourg having served as Salvation Army Officers for 30 and 32 years respectively. They were both born in Ontario and have served in church, family services, thrift store and correctional services ministry throughout Ontario and Bermuda with their previous appointment being in Moose Jaw Saskatchewan.

Both Majors Dan and Wendy are excited to be working within Northumberland County. They come with a passion for providing support and service to those in need of a helping hand.
