OPP Conduct Roadside Canvas Near Scene of Murder in Cramahe Township

In Police Blotter

OPP held a roadside canvass on Tuesday, May 26, 2020 looking for any information in regards to a murder in Cramahe Township last week.

The roadside canvass was on County Road 2 east of Colborne at Trenear Road directly in front the property where the body of Boyd Woods (age 72) was found by emergency services a week ago on May 19.

Woods was found with trauma to the head.

All vehicles were stopped both eastbound, westbound along County Road 2 and on Trenear Road.  A number of officers questions occupants of vehicles if they knew the victim, saw anything suspicious in the area around the time the victim was found on Tuesday.

The roadside canvass lasted until noon.
