Officers Keeping An Eye On Cobourg Beach During COVID-19

Cobourg Bylaw officer Mark McMurtry and Cobourg Police Auxiliary Staff Sgt. Mark Salerno were patrolling the area around Cobourg beach on Sunday, May 3, 2020.

With a beautiful sunny day, people came down to the area in larger numbers during the COVID-19 crisis.

Both McMurtry and Salerno made sure the restrictions in place were followed.

A number of people were told to remove their dogs from the beach area, people sitting for long periods of time were told that wasn’t allowed, and both officers answered numerous questions from the public about what is and isn’t allowed including parking in the harbour area.
