Cobourg Fire Department Erring On The Side of Caution When Responding To Medical Calls

In Editor Choice, Local

Cobourg firefighter Matt Diminie wears a number of protective equipment on Sunday, March 29, 2020 in front of the Cobourg Firehall on Elgin Street.

All the equipment Diminie is wearing is used for training, but fire department staff are now wearing this type of protective equipment when responding to all medical calls to help protect themselves against COVID-19.

Also on Sunday, signs were installed on the front doors of the firehall with the hashtags #stayhome #staysafe giving people the message the safest place to be during this crisis is inside their homes.
